MM Solns February Week [4]

The theme adopted by Queen Dustybun in this her fourth and final week in her short reign came as a surprise to me , but nevertheless a welcome surprise. Based on the theme It's a Wonderful Life, her chosen links were:

Life BOAT
Baby GRAND
Family HEIRLOOM
Home BREW

On first glance, not a difficult set of links to predict, but reality met with quite a different story.

The game began with great promise when Entrant #2 found beejay1124 striking the right chord on BABY GRAND for TWO POINTS ~ closely followed by fordward finding safe harbour with LIFE BOAT for another TWO POINTS. I then expected a deluge, but met with a trickle when cliffyg was the only one to cash his Life Boat for Two Bonus Points.

For the best part of an hour, the predictions flowed in but the points DIDN�T flow out. It took ex-champion miss meg to come in as Entrant #23 swilling her HOME BREW and claiming TWO PINTS (er, I mean POINTS). How did everyone in the Shrubbery Squad miss that one!

Two entrants (and 45 minutes) later and fearless fred1941 once again claimed the final scalp with FAMILY HEIRLOOM! In spite of the fact that another 17 AB-Linkers made predictions, the Sacred Abacus lay silent and undisturbed for the remainder of the game! This sometimes happens and newcomer grannydi has got the right idea when she says �Does it matter?� Of course not!

League Table after this final week in February is:

THREE POINTS: sarumite

With the reign of Queen Dusty having come to a close, I must commend her on having four faultless launchings ~ even if scoring has been a little on the light side. She has been a pleasure to work with! But now to choose her successor.

Of those on Five Points, to my recollection only bridgenut has yet to claim an MM Championship. Hence, without further ado, I declare bridgenut as the worthy successor to the March MM Crown.

Thanks Dustybun...had some antibiotics on Thursday that spaced me out for the next day or two! Apparently they don't agree with me! I was on another planet...now most who know me would say that is normal!!! :-))
