I am wondering if anyone else thinks that question 3 should have an answer of (10) letters rather than (6,4). I am pretty sure of my answer but it is not shown in Chambers as two words.

Thanks for that - my trouble is that I already have one of the words in another answer and they dont usually do that - its a bit of a conundrum !!!! P

Goofy, If you think number 1 is Sauce Boat, go for it. It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks. It's a competition for goodness sake. Is there nobody on this site capable of just doing a quiz without asking for help.

I don't normally ask for help on this quiz, but usually I find the answers are fairly obvious (once you've got them!). number one was annoying me.

someone asks for clues to a couple and it builds into a thread with over 20 answers - cinnamon pic quiz is a perfect example

My opinion is I've either got the wrong answer or I can't spell as I was quite happy with 2 words lol

I know there is a lot of moaning at the moment but this quiz is a perfect example for me. When i first looked at one a few years ago I could do about 40 but I entered got the answers and could see how they got them. Continued in this fashion ever since and last time for the first time just lost half a mark.

That is the reason I enjoy the good quizzes, the others are ok to do quickly but would hate to lose the ones like this that quite simply drive me mad but give great pleasure

In my view, the answer to 3 is two words - they fit the clue so well that I think there is little doubt.

Has anyone spotted that there are two possible answers to 7. The intended answer is clear but there is an alternative.

I too am happy with my two word answer. But I can't find one answer for #7, let alone two!

My problem with the two word verion is that I already have one of the words as an answer to another question and the compilers never double up !!!! P

It does occasionally happen that an answer is doubled up. I think I recall "President" occurred twice a couple of years ago or thereabouts.

Having said that, my preferred answer is not doubled up so far, although I still have about 10 to go.
