Photography Locations near Manchester
Hi,
I'm trying to get out and about to get some photography done and looking for new places which are not too far away and easy to get to on public transport as I don't drive and not too good at walking too far.
If anyone has any suggestions they would be gratefully received, especially animal or bird related.
Happy to travel up to an hour and a half by train.
Went to Buxton in the Peak District on Saturday and it was gorgeous so hoping to get out and explore more places :)

The train from Manchester to Sheffield has some lovely stops in the heart of the Peak DIstrict, try anywhere between Edale and Hathersage. I think Edale is about 45 minutes from Piccadilly. New Mills Central Station on the same line is only half an hour from Piccadilly and is next to the Torrs Riverside Park where you can usually see heron and other wildlife in the dramatic setting of the gorge which is a hidden gem in the centre of New Mills. I've got some infomation about the area on our webpage at http://www.shawfarmho....co.uk/thingstodo.htm
This is the location of the torrs on google maps: http://maps.google.co...&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl
