AVG Anti Virus & Internet Connection
Had AVG 8 - free version on my Vista pc for the last 10 months. Upgraded to 8.5 and purchased cd - yesterday. Since then have not been able to access internet at all whilst 8.5 is installed. Uninstalled and could access internet, then installed 8.5 free version and once again my internet access was lost. Any advice? I have just paid �30+ for a licence for 8.5. Thanks - in anticipation

restart the computer.
reset the internet explorer from the internet tools <options<advanced <reset.
internet will work than again installed the avg free version.
if anything doesnot recover the problem ,computer will not work.
finally restore the computer to its previous date so that all the previous settings back.
kept in mind restore the computer only before the date of the update the avg 8.0 to 8.05

Try to disable the firewall settings of AVG Antivirus. It might be possible for not browsing the net.
