My 18 yr old son has been sent the above guitar with a maple fret board (he ordered black rosewood). The one he wanted is now out of stock and not due in again. However, it is available on other websites but �300 more expensive. He's heard that it's possible to customise guitars and dye fret boards.

Does anyone know if this is possible and, if so, at what sort of cost please?

He just had enough from savings and his 18th birthday money to buy the guitar so the extra �300 isn't an option!
