Thanks for this. How come it's not in any of the books or websites on latin phrases? I tried several.
It's in Chambers
In Italian (and Latin I think) it means "on holiday". A modern idiomatic translation would be that your solicitor is spending a lot of time on the golf course, and hasn't got around to dealing with your case. If it's "in Chambers" this presumably includes your barrister.
