quiz posters

Might it help to corral the quiz posters if on the home page (or poss attached to the" has your q been asked before" search, or both), there was a list that said eg cowboy quiz click here, pink quiz click here that would take the asker to lists of existing q's and a's plus a link to the quizzes section.

More work for poor old ED, of course keeping up to date on likely quizzes...then again (s)he has to earn the filmstar salary, company Maserati and international adulation somehow ;-)

We really can't expect AB Ed to be aware of every quiz that pops up over the globe and then spend time updating the list every time a new one appears.

 

What we need is the introduction of a feature which will make it more likely that these questions get posted in the Quizzes & Puzzles section.

 

Several regular ABers have made excellent suggestions recently and AB Ed is aware of them.  We can't expect everything at once; a lot of time and effort has clearly been made over the last few weeks to improve this site.

 

We know that the techies do get fed now and then (we have it in writing that they go to the pub), so I think that we need to be patient a little longer.

No I don't expect them to be aware of every quiz, and they don't need to be, just the ones that cause problems on this site. And the way that they would become aware is because they are causing problems.

I agree that Ed and the Techies (How's that for the name of a post punk ironic band) have worked and are working hard to iimprove things and nowhere did I suggest that I expected it to be done overnight.

This is a suggestions category, presumably EATT (where's bernardo??) will close it down when they feel that they have had enough suggestions, or ask us to put our fertile brains on hold if they feel overwhelmed.

Thanks all. One problem with banking on a homepage message is that newbies arrive at category pages - search engines often deliver them there rather than the homepage. Hence 'pink' questions in Adverts or this category, for example.
