I know this isn't a crossword question but don't know where else to post it.
Has anyone solved the Balancing Birds problem in the DT today?
I think its a blue bird at point A. Nothing at point B
PS if anyone knows a more appropriate place to post this please let me know.

What you've done is confused moments with weight. When summing the moment on the LHS of the upper perch, you've counted the weight on the lower perch as the equivalent of 8 blue birds. It doesn't matter that one of the blue birds on the lower perch is at distance 3 from -that- pivot, all that matters is the total weight of the lower perch which is:
1 red + 2 blue = 6 blue.
