My friend is really stuck on the last 4 questions in the Rainbow quiz. As she has no pc I am doing this for her but after a couple of stroppy answers I am reluctant to ask! Anyway here goes, can you give her an extra clue to answer questions 52,63,69 and 94. Thank you very much.
69 - Remove IS from THIS, add that to a word which means study (usually at university, see University Challenge), the answer means CLUE, as described in the legend of the Minotaur.
Hope this isn't too obscure.
I'm struggling with the othjers, so I look forward to more answers.
I'm not used to this and did not know that I could type the whole question.
52. The would be stalkers exclamation of discovery in hallways. (8 letters)
63. Overdue, the designated driver ran away with the dresser (8)
94 Shakespearean items of headgear come from two extremes (10)
All the answers are related to the structure of a house or items found in a house. thank you.
52. An amusing one this. Short exclamation! What animal stalkers look for. You put items of clothing on them.
63. Very Welsh. Anagram, including dd (designated driver). Never heard of it before.
94. The word on the street is that you take two directions to make these hats found in "The Tempest". Can't say i have too many in my house!
Well done to your friend.
I agree with the clues/answers for 52, 63 and 69 but remain definitely unconvinced by the suggested answer doing the rounds for 94. The connections with Shakespeare and household items are too tenuous - and why does the clue require an answer in the plural? Nothing in the rainbow puzzles is ever accidental.
