Do you get out the ironing board?

Or does a pillow case on the kitchen work top usually do the job?

I know that I have an ironing board somewhere, because my cleaning lady gets it out, but generally ...

... is it really worth it?

don't be blo0dy silly
I found it uncomfortable using either the ironing board or the kitchen work top even with a pillow cas on it.

Have you tried it over a snooker table though?
Mrs. Mills would probably say - A pillowcase on the kitchen worktop would suffice for the smaller items but when it comes to Mr. Mills shirts I believe that nothing less than an ironing press is sufficient - I would love a utility roome where boards and things can be left up all the time. Means you don't have to struggle every time you need something ironed.
yes I have sqad !! I find it works very well - all that space to spread out.
If i am in a hurry, like a quick rub over of my blouse, then I use a towel on the worktop.

But for the week's ironing, then I drag out the ironing board.

I hate shutting the d@mn thing up as it always catches my fingers!!!!!

funnygirl ... Ouch !!!
I only ever get out the ironing board when it is absolutely necessary. I did so last night to iron my white linen trousers. But I never bother ironing bed linen, or anything like that.
weekly ironing, whats the point. it all goes in drawers after
every time?

and you are not blond either funnygirl, so whats your excuse?
You must have exceptionally difficult ironing boards, I can undo mine in 1, press the lever and it falls into place. Simples!
NoMercy think I'll change my name to Greenwithenvy. No chance of white linen trousers over here in Norn Ireland. Weather grey and muggy. Enjoy the sun where you are.
Razzle - I cut my leg getting out of the car last night. Not sure how I did it, but ended up with blood on the trousers !
No Mercy.......oh! yeah!!
NoMercy are you saying you washed the trousers last night because of the blood and then had to iron them because linen has to be ironed when damp.
get polyester goods & use tumble dryer = no ironing!
Drivel, my excuse for what???

Not getting my fingers chopped off???
I don't think linen comes in polyester but I could be wrong!!!!!
