Is this the most error-prone crosswword from DT?
1A- European country- Andorra, Austria
53A- Small amount- tad, dab
78A- Tropical fruit- banana, papaya
17D- 'Marshal' art when martial is meant

Printing the griddler on the other side!

Completel;y agree with you....could not believe the marshal/martial howler....
IMHO, the Telegraph has been on the slippery slope for a long time...

...I can't be annoyed with today's edition, as my local garage doesn't stock it!
I think they should accept either banana or papaya. Also tad or dab. For 1a I've gone with Austria as according to my dictionary Andorra is a principality, not a country.
Please write to the Puzzle editor re backing prize puzzles as I have. If they get a few complaints they may do something.

Yes agree with porilo + dwil. It is slightly odd. Did laugh at the Marshal art instead of Martial Art, too ;-)
Hate it when there is more than one possibility + both are technically correct such as in Banana or Papaya- both are tropical fruits- as this does not seem fair as if the compiler has put one + you another you will probably lose out!!
Good luck everyone + be dynamic. Warm wishes, Bea :-)
Have sent an email to the Telegraph via their contact form on their website + encourage all you lovely guys to do the same. Will let you know if receive a message from them, too.

Warm wishes, Bea :-)
