The Roman Catholic Churchs' Heresy!
20 Answers
Whether or not you are a believer in God, is it not true that compared to the benchmark of the teachings of the Bible, the Roman Catholic church is a heresy, an apostate religion, that keeps its adherents in ignorance and from the knowledge of the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ? Remember, the criteria is a standard in the Bible, and the Roman Catholics measurement to it. Atheists most welcome to comment, even if they don't bellieve the R.C. claims or the the biblical standards against which, by the grace of God, we must judge them.

Hi Theland.
Nope. They have their religious beliefs, you have yours, I have mine. If you disagree with theirs, that's your perogative, but it's none of your business, no more than your beliefs are my business.
If a Catholic, Mormon, Methodist, Presbyterian or whatever Christian branch tells you that your beliefs are heresy, then you would defend your faith in the same way that a Catholic would defend theirs. And you'd both be right because religion, whether you want to acknowledge it or not, is a matter of personal choice.
Get on with your life and stop worrying about others's convictions!

Theland, shouldn't your knees be knocking for breaking a cardinal (oops!) rule? Judge not lest ye be judged?
The religious, regardless of religion, are all self-obsessed. With permanent and immovable planks in their eyes, and clearly utterly devoid of concern for the conflict and unhappiness they cause, they all insist they're right, and I see little of what really matters in this world in any of them. So much for religion. It has nothing whatsoever to recommend it.

"we must judge them" Really! Why? Don't you have a religion of your own to be going on with?
It's not a question of agreeing or disagreeing with whatever religion, faith, belief etc. Religion is such a personal thing, no one else's business but yours, if you want to believe, go ahead, if you don't, just get on with your own existence.
Far be it from me to stick up for the Catholic Church, but crass statement such as "keeps its adherents in ignorance" conjures up images of successive Popes in conspitorial huddles with their most senior henchmen somewhere in the bowels of the Vatican determining the most effective methods of "keeping our adherents in ignorance".
Anyway, make sure Monty Python don't find out where you live or they'll send Torquemada and his heavies after you!
