MM and KM Links May 2009 [Week 3]

Here commenceth (my new dentures theem to be very looth ~ Joke!) the third week of the reign of The Serene Steffie, entertaining her Fellow Linkers in that lovely country she calls "Home". I wonder what aspect of life in the southern climes will come under her scrutiny for this week's investigation, now that the sunstroke and over indulgence in sea water are mere memories.

Assuming that Jan has toddled of to bed, Scunthorpe won the Football League One play off semi final, which results in them playing Millwall at Wembley on Sunday week for the last promotion place to go up into the Championship League.

Oh right!!!....so they haven't quite won yet then?
Mind you ..I hope the beat Milwall!

Pauline, if you don't already know I had to have Susie put to sleep on Monday, I had to take the decision that she had enough, I've had better weeks than ths! Thanks for your support, hope your other half isn't being a pain to you!

Not having scored a point over the last two weeks, I don't think that I'll hit on her wavelength anyway. Could be the drought in Southern Australia, which is causing great concern in the wine industry, and here if there'll be no decent plonk to drink!

Sorry to hear about Susie Miss Meg, I know how much it must hurt. I read the posts last week when I came home on Saturday.

Pauline, I hope that you are not thinking about having Reg put out of his misery!

No I didn't know miss megs...did you post it. I must have missed it. I was wondering and didn't want to upset you.

Isn't it the hardest thing you have to do? You know it's right, and for the best, but you feel lost, sad and terribly guilty afterwards. For what it's worth..I think you did the right and caring thing. Am sure you know that yourself though...although it still hurts.

I know when things like that happen, you wonder why you bother with animals at all...but never to have loved them and enjoyed them would be worse! I think they have taught my daughters so much over the years...to care for all the waifs and strays we've had...and got! It teaches them responsibility..to love and to lose, a lesson they need to learn ..as that's life.

It must have been a very sad week for you...I am so so sorry. xx
