I 'm a bit bothered by the answers they give to some of the puzzles. For instance, in the world's smallest crossword yesterday the clue to 5a was "figure skating manoeuvre" or some such wording, and the answer is given today as AXLE. Surely that should be AXEL?
Also, in today's Scrabble Grams, I don't think the Par Score is achievable. Has anyone got it?
A week or two ago, a clue read "leers lasciviously" or similar wording, and the answer was OGLE, but it should really be OGLES, to fit the clue, but not the grid!
Yes, it is Axel for the figure skating. The Telegraph have made a few errors recently yet you must let them know so that they can make the necessary changes amalgam. Newspapers have proofreaders, yes, however that does not stop the occassional mistake even in a prize crossword. Good luck!
