My daughter has just gotten a 6 week old puppy. It's a white German Shepherd. The dog is quite dirty as it was kept in a shed and ran about a large garden. No fleas or anything like that the wee lassie just needs a wash or brush. What would be the best shampoo to use on the dog. Animal shampoo that is.

TIA.

Any pet shop will have special puppy shampoo, make sure the shampoo is well rinsed off and the puppy allowed to dry well. Wash in warm water, don't do it outside under a hose as its much too young. Keep clear of the eyes with the shampoo and a tip is to hold the puppy with your hand on its neck just behind the ears, this will stop it shaking all over you if the head gets wet. Hold a big towel over the puppy when you lift it out of the bath or tub, and let it shake into that so you don't get covered. Have fun.
And always wash the head last ! The little devil will want to shake. She'll try to do that instantly when her head gets wet.
my dog must be an odd ball cos she shakes even when her head is dry i have tried it lol
