Welcome to the last lap of a hard-fought contest under Aussie Rules. I must begin by reporting an error in last week's League Tables. At the time, I thought something was not quite right. I mentioned that in my Report and said that the scores needed to be ratified. I now find that the spreadsheet had "lost" the first three weeks' scores for cliffygbefore he scored SIX points in Week 4. This puts him on NINE points ~ just ONE point ahead of Dustybun, paulineward & ulysses100. This may be academic, since all four named above are past MM Champions!
This will be a weekend of finals ~ with the FA Cup [don't mention Newcastle United: more Terry Toons Cartoons than Toon Army], Britain's Got Talent [will the favourite go off the Boyle?] and MM Links for May [will we need to dig deep in order to get "fresh blood"?].
I will be sorry to see Steff aka seekeerz give up her MM Links crown, but it must have been exhausting keeping so many balls up in the air at once. I am personally delighted to learn a little more about what makes her tick. Shes an OK Sheila. At this point in time I have absolutely no idea what she has in store for you this weekend. I only know that this is the last lap and theres everything to play for!
As always, I look forward to seeing you all ready and waiting for the last challenge when seekeerz will open the launch at 08.45 tomorrow, before the MM link words are disclosed at 09.00 (sharp). There has always been a rush of early entrants in the opening five minutes of play ~ and many bonus points are picked off during this vital period!
Look out for seekeerz in her everyday job as adjudicator in the sister game (called KM Links) that kicks off in the early hours of Saturday depending on whoever is first to solve the Herculis Crossword in The Daily Telegraph! It has been decided recently to adjust the scoring system here, so that it is NOT time sensitive. This version of the Links game attracts many entries and scores can be much higher.
Me? Im crofter keeper of the scores for MM Links for my sins and I process the predictions and maintain the League Tables.
Good luck for tomorrow, when you will have to tune into the final round of the challenge of our multi-talented setter, The Serene Steff.
I never got away Pauline ~ you all left without me! And I had been so looking forward to the double-decker coming out of mothballs. Whinge whinge! Still, I untidied the shrubbery and left it a right mess ~ and nobody knows it was me!!!!!!! :0)
they are probably all making the best of the daylight. It's really only just gone dark here. You could be right ~ we could have been dumped! But who or what for?
Well I have just had a rant on another site about Britain's Got Talent! Maybe they are all glued to that!
I was furious watching it in the background...kids should not be allowed on it!
Popping my head round the door (or is it tree?) to say hello. Currently occupied in wielding a red pen - or should I say, a virtual red underlining tool - for one of the exam boards which must be nameless or I'll have my head cut off.

Hi Pauline, okay thanks, other dog continues to be a creaking gate!! Been to the vets AGAIN today, she had a needle put into some lumps on her mammary glands, we'll have to wait to see what that reveals!! Need a drink! Enough about me, how are things with you?
