Pioneer tape deck
5 Answers
I have a pioneer Hi-fi stacking system and my tape deck section of the Pioneer Hi-fi has started to play up,and stop recording sometimes.
Does anyone on answerbank know where I can get a new Pioneer tape deck or another make that would work on this Hi-fi stacking system.
Thankyou for any help.

Also, how old would you say it is? is it black or silver? is each part of the system separate (i.e.has its own mains power lead) or is it all-in-one?
what exactly do you mean when you say it 'stops recording'? that the tape mechanism stops, or it just produces a blank/silent recording ?

Sounds like it may well be component failure due to overheating.Could be a transistor or related capacitor/resistor ic network etc.I would try to have it repaired,as it seems to be quite a good one,and might be worth the price.Just google in Pioneer tape decks, and you will see a vast array of items, too numerous to mention here should you decide to go for a new one.Cheers.
