Anyone living in and around Nottinghamshire, please be aware that people driving a white van, registration number LR04 USZ are stealing dogs and other pets from peoples back yards, please pass it around if you know people in the area.

OK, silly question. If this is true (not saying it isn't BTW) and you have a registration, why aren't the police doing anything?
Thank you for the alert, have passed it on to my sister who lives in Notts and has a variety of pets.

Probably because the police can't do anything until they have evidence or proof.

Great warning, jules, thanks.

I live in New Zealand so thank goodness I have nothing to worry about. But I would want to be warned about something like this & would take very serious heed.
police can do nothing without proof do you not remember the 2 lurchers stolen by a van earlier in the year http://www.doglost.co.uk/Page.aspx?data=pzp8Jr dCfxmOYLL7ThMH8cgDIBGNb_3527O0VXDwo%2f3iFdF5GX NTxJvsxpD2i_352q%2fmMv
jules, this is the same registration as the van that was involved when these dogs were taken - is this where you got the information from?
