That 26a is the only answer I could find, I've read
several dictionary definitions, I've sent my xword off

Thanks poortony, angular is spot on as I forgot I had Encarta premium 2006 on my hard drive and it DOES show that the meaning "angular" can mean "thin and bony".So your crossword is correct and good luck to you as well.Hope you are keeping ok.
