MM and KM Links July 2009 [Week 1]

Apologies for being a little late ~ blame it on Wimbledon!

Welcome to this very first week of a setter that you have met before. Last week was somewhat different in that I was off fishing and missed the final stages of the June Contest. Needless to say I succumbed to the five foot swell off the Farne Islands and ended up in a very sorry state (enough said)!

Taking everything into account, I decided to invite Queen Juliet ~ or as we all know her, Jools to do the honours and I am pleased to say that she accepted. It was only fitting as last Monday I believe was her birthday!

As far as I am aware, it should be business as usual; the posting should open at 8.45am and the four words to be linked should be declared at 9.00am for a brand new game. Of course, it will also be a brand new start for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at an earlier time (but time here is not a significant factor). Why not chance your arm at both Link Games? They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards.

I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow to face the new challenges from Jools in the Crown.

Hi all - just popped in on a rare visit and noticed the topic of conversation. It reminded me of a friend of mine who was too vain to wear her glasses and spent a considerable time behind the settee talking to our cat - only it was my handbag!
