Epson DX 4000 OCR

Is it possible to do OCR using the Epson DX 4000?
I have just been donated one and cannot find out. Do I have to find a separate program somewhere? Any ideas?

Step 1. Scan document and save as a 'tiff' file.
Step 2. If you have Microsoft Office look for 'Microsoft Office Tools' then 'Microsoft Document Imaging' and select. (I do not know if Microsoft Works has same function.)
Step 3. Open 'tiff' file created at step 1.
Step 4. In 'Tools' menu select 'send text to word'.
Step 5. You will most likely have to fiddle about with layout and some words might not be right. But still quicker than retyping whole document.
