Well, the D iS wrong and so was I because I was in the wrong puzzle. Look up words beginning with MARTI not many and the second meaning is the answer you've given up on.

Thank you factor30, it is a rather strange word for the clue,mind you at present l am thinking of giving up on this one,as there seems a prob with a couple of clues,219d the grid seems to have one square to many,clue icarus father,answer dedalus,or am l missing a letter,and clue no.265 is coal tar liquid,and my letters are ANE>I>E and the only word l could find after a half hour searching was anedricite,think thats how it is spelt,too lazy to go and have another look,but l think you may be able to understand it,so hence my feeling of being completely clueless for this one. Thank you so much for your kindness and help with mind questions,-unlike others-,should not really say that but l am a bit fed up with that one.

I've never seen a Lovatt's crossword but it takes up more than its fair share of Answerbank queries and after a few days on Answerbank I think I know all the answers to the last two editions. Just where does this crossword appear?

Nice one, Zacmaster. Anyone who subscribes to it needs their head examining. It's certainly thrown up some interesting discussions and generated a lot of misunderstandings and highly emotional responses.

It used to be considered clever to complete a Stinker but since kellee and her eqally lazy or dim pals discovered AB anyone can finish.
I just hope that if they ask these easily solvable clues they get the rest wrong. I've won a few things in 20 years.
