European holiday destinations busy this year?
I was wondering if anyone had noticed whether the usual holiday hotspots in Europe were any less busy this year due to the recession? My boyfriend and I usually go to the Algarve in September, however holiday conflicts at work mean we have to go on the 26th August instead. We usually avoid August like the plague because it's crowded and noisy. However with the increase in number of people holidaying in the UK, has it made a difference at all? Also have most of the families (and their noisy little angels) gone home by this late in August?

And I think the Algarve is notoriously more expensive than other places, but we just love it there. I'll keep my fingers crossed and I'm sure we'll enjoy getting away whether it's busy or not!
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
