I have tried posting this question three times now, I don't know why it doesn't come up when I clink on "my questions" link.  Anyway, Can either of you help me out with #26 astronaut hole and #34 wagon/boat?  I have several answers for both, but none seem to be really good.  If you can verify the answers that would be great!  Thanks!!  I know these have been already asked, but no answers have been really good ones with verification.  The astronaut hole one is really getting me batty, I have only these two left and these are the only ones I have ever asked for help on.

#26 is Kilbourne Hole & Hunt's Hole  in Dona Ana County, New Mexico  Apollo astronauts trained there.  #34 most common answer is James Logan, he came up with the Conestoga Wagon, but I was also thinking the Prairie Schooner, it is a conestoga wagon just coated with tar on the bottom to waterproof it so it could go through small rivers, creeks  and streams without getting the inside wet.  But I cannot find a name to go with who came up with the idea about waterproofing it.  Good Luck!  hope this helps.

Dear Camhead, there are a lot of different craters that astronauts trained in, why is Kilboune hole better than say schooner crater, meteor crater, etc....? The answer asks for a city, not a county as well....I have prairie schooner and john mohler studebaker from this website, http://www.fairfieldhistoricalsociety.info  go down to the wagons part then at the bottom and see that it was water-worthy or so they say.....What do you think?  These are the hardest ones!

If you get this in time email me at [Email address removed in accordance with site policy - AB Editor]

This is Sugarbritches. Having trouble with this web site and had to reregister. For clue 26 I have the Schooner Crater in Doe Nevada. and for Clue 34 if you go to this web site it may change you mind on Conestoga. I think it has something to do with the wind-wagon http://houstonhistory.com/ghoustians/history8d.htm

Good luck

Sugarbriches, I have seen you also on outwitthewest.net, but you have put your email on there and it doesn't work?  Thank you for your input.  I have something different from almost all of you, it really does seem like this contest is going to come down to what we decide to put as there can be several answers for each.  Good Luck!
I left off .com so that I wouldn't get in trouble for showing my E-mail so try it again [Email address removed in accordance with site policy - AB Editor]
