I made my chilli and some rice and then came back into the living room to eat some earleir. Stupidly I forgot to put the lid back on the chilli. I went back into the kitchen to transfer it into a plastic container and I noticed that the lid wasn't on it and a fly flew out of it. I took a closer look and it had laid eggs in it. Instead of said transferal into plastic container, transferal has now been made into 2 plastic bags and bin outside.

OMG I feel sick on 2 counts:

1. waste of food as I'd made loads to freeze
2. flies eggs - sick sick sick!

Dinners off everybody.

I know Weeal, I feel so stupid for not putting the lid on it. I always put lids on everyting.

Tell me about it Cazzz. Why can't the bloomin things become an endangered species or something along those lines.

I've seen them before NoK, they look like tiny grains of rice all clumped together. Years ago I used to see them on my cats cat food so I know what to look for. As soon as I'd seen the fly flying off I know I was going to see the eggs.
