First round-the-world air record
In 1924 four Douglas World Cruisers set off from Seattle, USA, to circumnavigate the globe. Two of them made the trip, and all the pilots survived. It took them 175 days to complete the journey, having spent just over 371 hours in the air. Does anyone know how many landings they made en-route? Different sources give several different figures, quoting 57 'stops', 75 'destinations', 61 'cities', 73 'segments'.

Try the above link. I count 62 "stages" but there may have been intermediate landings.
