I don't know if it's the best way, but one way is by Moneygram. The person in Malawi would have to find a moneygram office and let you know it's details. You then go into any Post Office and send the money by Moneygram through them. The person in Malawi would have to take identification with them into the Moneygram office in Malawi to get the money, but it's very quick, usually with 10-20 minutes of the money being sent here it is available for the other person to collect.

Any other system of money transfer would be open to the corruption that is rife in Malawi!
There is some slim possibility of the same with a bank transfer,but it is unlikely,and is still the safest of all options.
