Why is the site soooo slow ?

Why, when I can get to any other site in my favourites in about a second, does it take upto a minute to get on to answerbank. It's always been slow in the past, but its virtually unusable now.

i,m no expert but it could be your broadband speed or there are too many people on the site.

It's too many users using it and not enough resources dedicated to it for it to work quickly.

Im on 10Mb broadband and can get to anywhere else on the net in a second...............I think its answerbank

JDOvengloves is quite right. There's something wrong with the Answerbank site. I have tried twice in the past few minutes to post an answer, and to log in, and I have repeatedly got a message that says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Only by dint of perseverance have I managed to log in and post an answer. There's nothing wrong with my PC, nor with my internet connection. I suggest that the managers of the Answerbank website send the Boy Scouts home and get someone in who understands how to set up a website properly.

the slowness does get to you after a while doesnt it

seems to be only on a sunday though -- in fairness I think the site in general has sped up in the new format, but that may be because a lot of people aren't bothering due to the new format
