You are quite right Sprinter53, I don't own the Chambers which the people who set the clues do, mine is a more modern one but I have many other books I use, plus the Chambers in the reference library. As I have said before, we do not all have the same brains, neither are we all as smug as you. I hope I will find my remaining unsolved ones, 10 in number, but if I don't I will just send it back as it is, with my cheque.

Sprinter53 My Chambers is the 21st Century revised edition, nowhere near as much in it as the one I use in the reference library. If you think you will intimidate me by constantly challenging me like this you are wrong. I repeat, we are not cheating, we are asking for clues, but it's a waste of time saying it to you. Thanks Teacher 1 old friend. What nice people there are on here....just hope the ones who have just discovered us are not put off by the likes of Sprinter. Wish he/she would just sprint off into the sunset! I still need........ 11 42 44 46 48 57 65 (which I know is another anagram) 71 73 and 82. Not too bad really. How about you? I know you like to plod on unaided as long as you can.

Yes!! Teacher 1 and Naomi 24......at last I have found 82....I have also looked at anagrams and would never have found that word, never heard of it before. Just shows it's worth keeping on looking, even though it is now 12.45am!!!! To bed now.

Spitza Oh my goodness, how easy they seem when you know the answer. How I didn't get 11 I just don't know but, thanks to you, I have now. Also got 57, again, obvious when you get them. I know 42 has CR in it and will work on it later. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction, be prepared for criticism from Sprinter.
