Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I seem to be completely stuck with the top right-hand corner of this X Word and am hoping that someone could kindly kick-start me. No. 8 across is "Commence" (5 letters). No. 6 down is "Bloodshed" (8 letters). The 4th letter of No. 8 across is the same letter as the 2nd letter of No. 6 down. I would be very grateful for any help with this. Thanks.

I am not doing this Xword myself so need more clues from Freda7 in order to help out.

Thanks for trying to help redman 41. If the answer to No. 8 across was Start that would mean the 4th letter. the "r" woukd be the 2nd letter of the answer to Bloodshed. I'm sorry if I am not making myself clear but I really don't know how else to explain it. Hope this helps.

Could be Arise or Begin (Commence)
Bloodshed could be Massacre or Drubbing

I think I must not be explasining my problem very clearly. Thanks a lot for trying to help - I do appreciate it. Your suggest Arise or Begin for No. 6 across. That would mean that the 2nd letter of \No. 8 down would have to be "s" or "i" - the fourth letter of No. 6 across/. Therefore I'm sorry your suggestions of Massacre or Drubbing would't fit. I'm sorry I can't draw a picture of the grid for you to see what I mean but thanks for tryiong to help.
