For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.buchanan, you will notice if you study enough of these types of test, that you need to be good a certain areas of maths, and you can greatly improve your scores if you brush up on these areas alone. This following are regularly tested:
- Adding
- Subtracting
- Multiplication
- Long division
- Ratios and fractions
- Percentages
- Basic statistics such as calculations of mean, median mode etc.
If you make sure you can cope with fairly difficult (calculatorless!) questions, you should do a lot better than you expect. If you look on amazon, you could find similar books on numerical reasoning:
and logic testing too.........also, many of the bitesize revision websites cover the basics. If you want to further progress, try looking into more advanced courses such as those offered by the Open University etc.
