TEACHERS’ terror McKenzie Dunkley has been expelled out of school … aged just four.
But his mum reckons her lad is a little angel.
McKenzie has become the youngest child ever to be expelled from a British school after despairing teachers accused him of running riot and kicking them.
They even had doors modified to stop him running out of the school.
The final straw came when McKenzie, who had already been temporarily excluded, booted a teacher who was trying to make him pay attention.
Just heard about this on Mathew Wrights Show !!!
I have to ask the Qs, is 4 too young to start school, this lad was 4 yrs and 2 months having started school in September...
What can teachers do now to combat this type of thing?, they have no powers at all, no one condones smacking a child, I don't, although I don't suppose it did me any harm, if I was in trouble at school I would have had to face the wrath of Mum or Dad for it.
Where do we go from here for a future generation?
also , had the school not taken this extreme decision, would it not open the floodgates for an unruly infant to become an unruly boy, who then would claim compensation in later years from the Education Authority, for being 'picked' on

The removal of the concept of "responsibility"
Are the parents responsible for their child? ... not any more.
When he is older, is the child responsible for himself? ... not nowadays.
We all want freedom, but without responsibility.
We seem to forget that one cannot exist without the other.

ps. I don't think 4 is too young to start school. I started at Prep School when I was 3 yrs and a couple of weeks, and my goddaughter started at the same school, also when she was 3.

My daughter started school in September just gone, and within a week a little boy in her class was on a good behaviour book thing, basically it's filled in on a day to day basis which monitors how good/naughty he's been throughout the day.
After 2 weeks of being there, his mum told me that he'd mooned the teacher- I was mortified, but she found it funny.

What's wrong with the ps. sqad?
I don't have children, so I can't speak from that point of view.
But ... the earlier children start spending time learning with other children, the earlier they start to develop the instinct for being part of a society group.
I think children should be in toddler groups at 2, and in school at 3.

BOO...we would "moon" the teachers, but it would be a prelude to 5 "wacks" of the cane.
Oddly enough it seemed to create respect in the classroom.
P.S I was known to be disruptive, argumentative and noisy in class......!!!!!........I had my fair share of the cane and now I am agreeable, submissive and quietly spoken.

And that's where the problem lies Bobbs, parents see their childrens bad behaviour as either funny (as in the case I mentioned) or just something that "children do".
My own daughter is no angel (despite looking like one!) however I'd like to think that it simply wouldn't enter her head to do things like this to any adult, let alone a teacher. And if she did I have to be honest and say that i'd smack her silly (pffft to the PC brigade) she wouldn't be able to sit properly for days.
