47a reads Band go North of the Border (4 letters); someone has posted the answer as 'gang'; how is this arrived at? I don't like to write down an answer unless I can work out exactly how it was arrived at, and I am stuck on 'gang'. Please explain. Cantthink

'gang' is a scottish word for go: an example is how're yer ganging? i.e. how are you going (on)
'Gang' is Scots word for 'go' and Happy St. Andrew's Day to all of us Scots out there
