@gordon SHUT UP!!!! :-)
Been following this conversation with interest. I have the answer to 36 but I really need help with Barry. I know the connection and what it refers to but cannot find out the name of the people anywhere. Please help, Spirite you seem to have lots of good clues!
34. poetical artist
@Spirite. nudge nudge ,elbow elbow, wink wink, say no more then
Any thoughts on why number 47 (casino question) specifies 1959? Is it a red herring?

Been following this conversation with interest. I have the answer to 36 but I really need help with Barry. I know the connection and what it refers to but cannot find out the name of the people anywhere. Please help, Spirite you seem to have lots of good clues!........You may need to give a clue to get a clue, you must have picked up something from the clues already given in htis thread .
Lovin' this thread!
I'm not going to give away any answers - that just wouldn't be sporting.
1959? Casino Royale was 1953 - same deal applies.
Barry? A couple of clues on here already.
I hope 1959 isn't a red herring, I just did the maths, am I missing something?
Still working on Spirite's Barry clues.
I can give you a clue, what do you need one for?
As for Barry, I have followed all the clues and I know what advert for what company on what programme it refers to (unless I am barking up a completely different tree!) just don't know where to find out who they were.
Casino question- ok casino royale was in 1953 but they were not in a country that had shillings. And gambling illegal in Britain til 1960. I just feel it must be relevant even though the maths says its 5/3 as is posted on many other question sites!
'59 is pre-decimalisation. Maybe pre-1960 is relevant? I hadn't appreciated this subtlety. Is the casino in question in Britain?
If you know the company and the programme for Barry, it's just a question of being smart about google search terms.
JJS a clue to 36 would be appreciated
@ Spirite now the answer is out, yes it's 5s-3d ,it cant be done post decimalisation. Anything you need a clue on ? i'm still searching for some but may be able to help.
Gordon, I presume you have the answers to 31-35 but just cant link them for 36.
Hint:10,000 men will help.
I'm still just getting nowhere with the Barry question.
Spirite I have googled until my fingers fall off is the info really out there? I have even emailed the company concerned and asked them (they ignored me) and left a message on the Barry message board! Desperation! The casino must be in a country that has shillings as its currency.
36- look at all the names you have and take one from each. The answer to 35 gives you your biggest pointer.
LOL @jjs - Yes I did the same thing! If I google the specific answer (uk only) I get 4 hits, only 2 of them relevant, so the answer is out there - just hard to find. Best of luck.
@gordon - I'm good thanks, I think I have them all! Any luck with 36 - a right royal clue above!
yes got it straight away with the 10000 men
Well Spirite you must be better at googling than me. I put in the question as it reads on the sheet and just got lots of other people asking the same question. Then various combinations of Barry and the other connecting words. Not a hint. Have you got all the answers now?
Me too, can't hit on the correct google search to wheedle out the answer
I could post a link - but wouldn't that rather spoil the fun?
