Does anyone else notice how rarely it is that the winner comes from one of the cities? Do you think they have a spread-it-around policy to attract entries from the towns and villages, or do you disagree?
It never leaves Scotland, although the paper is printed in Belfast as well as Glasgow, I think my New Year
resolution should be not to waste my first class stamps and envelopes entering.
I do wish luck to all those who enter, hoope someone on this site wins
Hi BilSuth I think that's fair comment - I can't remember seeing a winner from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness or Aberdeen. I've seen a couple of winners from down south- someone in East Anglia and another in Portsmouth. I know of one ABer who won it a few months ago. I only do this crossword in the vain hope of winning a bucketful of dosh..I'm invariably in a bad mood by the time I've waded through it lol
Yes, good luck to all fellow contributors and it would be encouraging if they were to post here when they won. The odds might still be 100-1 or 1000-1 against, but the chances would be zero if there really is a postcode lottery. Irritating but I don't suppose it will put me off.
