Percale/polyester is better if you don't want crumpled (I never iron bedding!! - or much else for that matter). Buy a top quality percale.
Percale describes the weave not what the sheets are made of, so 100% Egyptian cotton can be Percale or otherwise. Percale has to have a minimum of 200 threads for weave

Percale is term referring to the minium weave standard which is 180 Count. Egyptian Cotton is very soft and very strong and robust and has some of the longest fibres in cotton so it can be woven to extremly high thread counts.
