JSA/HB payments over X-mas period

For various reasons I have had to sign on for the first time in years.
I am now worried that they have left me high and dry over the x-mas period.
My next payments are due in a few days time and I was wondering if anyone knows whether they tend to pay 'this side' rather than 'that side' of the holiday season?
Thanks

they usually pay when it is due - if it's in a couple of days that's when they will pay it
I'm currently doing some casual work, so I've 'signed off' for a while. But, having been unemployed (on and off) for several years, I can assure you that benefit payments which would normally be due on public holidays are always paid in advance.

A friend of mine is due a payment Christmas day but expects from previous experience to be paid early

..thanks, that's a relief to hear. Merry x-mas/new year.
Just to help put your mind at rest,I agree that payments will 'arrive'early. If your payment is due on a bank holidayt they try and pay the working day before due.As you are a new claim however,I would keep an eye on the payments, its amazing how many things can be overlooked or affected by computer error.Hope you have a trouble free Christmas
