Where Was I? - Sunday Times

I've got everything except the adjacent city and the bridge. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
Clue: The bridge was in 1858 the relevant city's first thoroughfare to be electrically lit.
I've tried googling that clue but it doesn't seem to bring up anything that seems relevant.

Hi parsleylass: Re-read the clue. Here it is again . . . Further along, we find a lamp — beyond which is a bridge, an adjacent city’s first thoroughfare (in 1858) to be electrically lit.
Worded somewhat differently to the 'clue' you posted above.
Note: Although you have to name the bridge, the 'bridge' was NOT the first thoroughfare to be electrically lit.
Good luck
