davinci code, chariots of the gods, limbo of the lost.
have just finished reading the davinci code and remember reading chariots of the gods(was god an astronaut) back in the seventies and limbo of the lost (bermuda triangle mystery) ....thouught they were similar in some ways....
Was wondering how much of the davinci code stands up to historical fact......

Information in the second & third themes are not original, they have already been covered in depth by others, notably in The Holy Blood & The Holy Grail, published 20 years ago whose authors are currently suing Brown for plagiarism. The first theme seems very similar to a book by Lewis Perdue called The Da Vinci Legacy
As to historical fact - the Brown book claims to be exhaustively researched. Well, if we look at the things that we can easily check, we find so many inaccuracies that it gives one little confidence in anything he says. .
