I have received an answer holt but I understand that an oter lives in a holt.

A badger lives in a Cete (Sett). Not sure how this is a castle though.
What about something containing "Brock"? a name for badgers??

I have received an answer which is Brocklehurst which I think is a good fit to the clue.

Hi, I gave the answer Holt on your other post. According to Collins Concise Dictionary it says.
Holt.....The lair of an animal,especially an Otter.
With your clue saying...could be & not...is the home of a Badger.
Was worth a try.
I 've just noticed your replies have been removed Zacsmaster, don't know why there was nothing wrong with them, mine will probably go next.
