RNLI Louth Letters Make A Difference Quiz

I'm stuck on the last question in the above quiz, which provides two clues to two words which are almost identical but differ by the addition of just one letter.

The clues for this question are "go sideways" and "rain heavily", and one of the two words can be made from the other by adding a D to it somewhere.

Any ideas?

Thanks for that. I've never come across the word "sile" before.
Hi Salty, Ive never heard the word sile, but frequently say "its siling it down", must be a lincs expression lol. Can you help me with no. 47 please - messenger/royal attendant.
