It's strange that although they are set out exactly the same and the names of the sites appear linked the two forums are completely separate.

Im same as Jack, just checked out the site again- been months since I was last there and I'm confused what it actually is...

Is it a part of this AB? If so, how come you dont access it when you click Sports over there < on the left?

It was AB's first attempt at using avatars, PMs etc. It got unwieldy and crashed the whole site, as I recall, so they floated it off as a separate site, then reinstated the old Sport section on AB.

yes I remember that vibra, when you clicked on sport it would send you to sports answerbank, people hated it and demanded the old format. I think its left the role of SAB in limbo a bit now as the previous sport section has been restored on AB and not enough people post regularly on SAB to make it worth visiting regularly.

I have posted rarely, mainly because hardly anyone is ever there and when they are they are not talking about sport :S

I think the closure to new registrations is a knee jerk response to the levels of abusive postings lately.

It has apperared, of late, that SAB has been used as a gathering place for some of 'this sites' more.........erm.......contentious contributors to gather and foment plans of attack against folks on here.....and also to swap titbits for use against ABers.

Perhaps not allowing new registrations coupled with a clean sweep of current members will stop the trolls, or give them pause, at least ?
