3 containers 0ne 10 litre 0ne 7 litre one 3 litre transfer fluid from 10 litre so that there are two 5 litres between 10 litre and 7 litre. have been tearing my hear out over this know the answer is really simple but so am I
Not sure if this is the easiest way but here goes.
Call 10 litre can A, 7 litre B, 3 litre C.
pour A into B
B into C - A now has 3, B 4, C 3
C into A, B into C - A=6, B=1, C=3
C into A, B into C - A=9,B=0,C=1
A into B - A=2, B=7, C=1
B into C - A=2, B=5, C=2
C into A
