Zoey 101 etc

I was with my young niece the other day and on Nickelodeon there was a show called "Zoey 101" or something like that, I've only seen it a couple of times, the last time I saw it, it was followed by another show with two young men who thought they were all that.
Trouble is, I have to say the behaviour of the principle characters in these shows bordered on appalling most of the time.
I know it's a kid's show, but what attitudes and values is this show teaching children, that it's ok to slam doors in the faces of people you don't find cool etc?
Or am I being oversensitive?

The thing is, kids know it's TV. My daughter used to watch these shows and she also knew that the behaviour shown was not acceptable - she wouldn't dare slam a door in my face or anyone else's.

Yes maybe, I just hope it's not another sign of my groaning old age.

I don't think so - I tend to get quite outraged when watching things like that but then my daughter comes in as the voice of reason and explains 'it's not real mum'. I think we just sometimes underestimate kids.
