2d Vampire wrong to fear sun? n?s?e?a?u This looks as if it should be an anagram of to/fear/sun but I have tried all four unused letters in the available spaces and cannot find a word which means anything, let alone vampire. Any ideas?

Thank you both, novalis and bibblebub, for taking the trouble to reply. As you must realise I am not a cinephile though I am forced to re-evaluate this in the light of the number of compilers who seem to be. I found your information very interesting particularly the wikipedia etymology link http://en.wikipedia.o.../Nosferatu_%28word%29.

You're welcome, and if you do ever feel like becoming more interested in film then you could do worse than view that 1922 version of the Dracula story (before the 1931 Lugosi version ingrained the suave, sophisticated image of a vampire in the public imagination). It is one of the best works by one of the all time great directors F.W. Murnau.
