The question: "A terminological inexactitude" (ie a lie) could be any number of things ie swiss roll, Chelsea bun, cottage pie, shepherds pie, french stick, toad in the hole, maids of honour, prarie oyster, bloody mary.
Also I can't quite get "Tricky beds".

I can't believe how amazingly obvious the answer is. Of course it is pork pie, Cockney rhyming slang. I did think of apple pie for tricky beds but somehow I don't think it may be correct.. No 61 must be thyme "lengthy memories". The word is in the middle of those two. Has to be correct I think.

I have "pasta" for two answers No. 43 and 100.

Hi RJUKL no.43 I have spaghetti. Sophia Loren attributed her physical attributes to spaghetti. " I owe it all to........." 100. I have pasta. I can see thyme in lengthymemories but its the " They evoke " that puzzles me.it seems to ask for a plural not thyme but thymes eg sprouts not sprout. If the answer is thyme the compiler could have left the clue as Lengthy memories but perhaps I've spent too much thyme on this ! Good Luck.!

Thanks Yes, I now realise that but on looking it up on Google I found that Mr Jackson was told to "stop digging" when he was trying to say something good about Australian beer (which he was finding impossible). He wrote books about beer etc.

At school first year boarders found their beds had been remade with the bottom sheet halved and brought up to the top of the bed which meant it was impossible to get into. I say this is a jolly tricky bed ! We called it an apple pie bed because it was a bit of a turnover ! I also found Telegraph wine expert Michael Jackson discussing Australian wines gradually digging a big hole for himself finally saying they have an excellent stout ! I was torn between Stout as a drink or Toad in the hole as a food .I have gone for toad in the hole as Mr. Jackson was a toad and more accessible via Beatrix Potter than Mr. J the wine expert with wine or stout deep in Googledom .

Inglepingle.I am doubtful about apple pie being the answer merely because I would have worded the question "trick" rather than "tricky" beds. I haven't come up with anything better yet but am still mulling it over as I am with They evoked lengthy memories.
