If you are suggesting the Answer is Peter Hitchins is it ok to knock the s off, the place is Hitchin in my Atlas which is only seven letters.Or maybe I am reading you wrong.
Yes I know, really thinking what galasalmon wrote the 8th letter and rhymes with a place to cook.At least I think I understood what they were trying to say.
We are back on the old round-about again, because it has to be on Google map ON /NEAR coast and Hitchen (with only 7 letters not 8) is in Hertfordshire (inland) HELP!!!!! Someone must be able to throw some sort of light on this one, Setter has issued an explanation on website, but I am none the wiser.
sorry i aked the question in first place , it is doing my head in. redcrane must be very good at this game, think I am getting past my see by date. cheers P
Oh and i wouldn't take any notice of redcrane, this question has been posted a lot, it seems a lot of people are stuck on this one. Redcrane muct be blessed with a superbrain :-)
We have received a query asking for a definition of the places that are the answers to the quiz. The majority are towns, cities, villages or district of them. The rest are specific coastal locations you will find on the map, but not large geographic areas that include parts of the country that are inland
If you google Mail on Sunday political correspondents, you will find an answer that is 8 letters and is a coastal location, perhaps not a town, but it fits the setter's definition of the answer.
