Help?
I am well, I'd describe myself as Skater-Punk-Rock, and the ''populars'' at my school have a problem with me because of it. Everyone else envies my dress sense and that I have the guts to wear it all, but I can't seem to get it through to the ''populars'' that I am actually a nice, normal person and they shouldn't judge me by my clothes. They are being very bitchy because of it and it's starting to annoy me.
Anybody have a suggestion to how to change, fix or improve the situation?

I jus wan2 say that i think its gr8 that u av the confidence 2 wear exactly wat u want and obviously these 'popular people' r jus so completly shallow if they cant take u as a nice person then u dnt wan2 av them as m8s neways if they r gona b like that!! I dnt reli av a gud suggestion of nethin 2 do, coz u cnt change the way that u r, jus so they r happier bout it - its ridiculas!!
So jus b urself nd dnt let them botr u coz they aint worth it!!

just be the nice interesting person that im sure you are, then the people that are worth knowing will see past the stuff that you wear and see you for you. i see clothes, hair, music etc as an extention of your own personality so these "populars" seem to not realy have an origional thought in their head if they can only wear what everyone else is and put others people down for their own origional clothing..um..ensombles! i probibly spelt that wrong!
you didnt mention how old you are? im 19 and i have found that this crap has reduced once everyone gets older, maturer and tolerant.
just dont change, cause im sure you could give me some tips!
Give it time and all the sheep of this group will get some individuality and branch off with their own images. As long as you've got mates in your circle of decent friends i wouldn't even try to reach out to the 'populars'.
I think no matter what year you went to school there are always the popular group, the middle group and the geeky group. Its never gonna change and i always maintained the middle group was the best place to be. Your seem a decent friendly and sensitive person who is probably liked more than you think. Popular groups all stick together, all afraid to have their own opinions for the fear of losing their popularity.
Music is a large influence on image and if they like Rap, hip hop, r'n'b which i suspect they do they can't see strong image in that scene. Rock, punk etc allows you to express yourself in a mood funky way and that probably just feels strange to them.
I wouldn't even worry about it... it takes a strong person to be who they wanna be and stand out there and be proud.
