I am one of those strange blokes that messes in his garage with old cars, for a hobby. Over the years I have collected a lot of tools and machines, in order to do so. On checkeing with my current contents insurer, I find that my tools in garage are covered for £5k for theft, but unlimited for fire or flood. Now common sense tells me if a spanner gets burned or wet, I can still use it, but the major risk I would have thought is theft.
So the question is this, can anybody recommend a sensible company that will insure garage contents only, given that garage is attatched to house, alarmed, grills on windows, 5 lever locks etc.

You know what you need from your policy so you will be able to sort through the insurers. Some seem to be for actual trade garages and not domestic ones.
