Self assembly wardrobes - missing parts??? Help

I ordered a 6ft wide wardrobe online through a well known catalogue. Delivery took 5 weeks, paid in full when I ordered it (nearly £500). When we unpacked 5 huge boxes we had 2 missing parts, so are unable to assemble it. I phoned the company (within 14 days) and they said they will send out the missing parts "as soon as possible". They are now telling me it could take 10-14 days for missing parts to arrive. I am so annoyed as we dismantled our fitted wardrobes and dumped them, so we have mounds of clothes and shoes all over the house!! I have rang the company and told them I want a refund if not delivered by this weekend. The trouble is the 5 boxes of parts were all unpacked as you have to lay out the parts as per the instructions. I am within my rights to ask for a refund even though the boxes of wood are just in a pile in my loung !!?? Please help...

Don't give up till they agree. i had a fight with BT the other week, the poor girl i wouldn;t get off the phone till they did what i wanted right then and there (they were telling it it would take 72 hours)
